UFC 142 took place in Brazil tonight and featured Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo defending his title for the third time, this time in front of his home country.<Br><Br>
Aldo stopped Chad Mendes late in the first round, knocking him out with knees and punches.<Br><Br>
Elsewhere on the card, Vitor Belfort took on Anthony Johnson in what was suppose to be a middleweight but due to Johnson not coming in near weight was changed. Belfort would survive Johnson's initial onslaught, submitting him with fifteen second left in the first round.<Br><Br>
